It’s even better than breakfast in
bed! Each birthday breakfast is served
at 8:30 a.m. on the second
Wednesday of each month. Breakfast

during that month eat free and receive
homemade birthday cakes. Others are asked

Do you need service hours for your school group, church activity, or
college application? Do you have a little spare time and just want
to help out in the Keller community?

special event,
assistance is needed at the Keller Senior Activities Center, and The Keller
Pointe seeks volunteer help for events and programs.

Special Activities and Trips
Throughout the year a wide variety of
activities, parties, and trips are planned
for center participants. Visit or call the center at (817) 743-4370 for a copy of their monthly activity calendar. |
|
Computer Classes
Are you interested in learning how to use
a computer? New computer classes start at
the Senior Activities Center each month and are free
to those over age 55. Sessions are held
for four weeks from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Classes
offered include New Users (Fundamentals),
Intermediate, and Internet. All seniors
must first take the New Users
(Fundamentals) session before registering
for the Intermediate or Internet classes.
Space is limited and reservations are
necessary as each class often fills
several months in advance. Call
the center at (817) 743-4370 for more details. |
|
"55 Alive"
Several times each year, the Keller Senior Activities
Center hosts
the “55 Alive” class taught by AARP volunteers. The eight-hour class
is open to persons aged 50 and older and
the cost is $10 per person. Completing this class may save you
as much as 10% on your auto insurance for
the next three years. Call (817) 743-4370 for
information on future class schedules. |
|
Blood Pressure Checks
Keller Fire/Rescue provides free blood pressure
checks at 11:00 a.m. on the first Friday of each month. No reservations
are needed. |
